His Hands: Can I Live Holy? by Annie Dennis Eskridge

Can I Live Holy? by Author Annie Dennis Eskridge, Sin Abides
Many give excuses as to why they cannot live holy. Excuses!Excuses! I'm human!I'm not perfect! The word perfect in the Bible means mature or blameless. That is what the devil wants you to say. We should be confessing..."For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him"(2 Cor 5:21). Jesus never did anything wrong. Yet, He died for our sins, so that we could be declared righteous. This is why we should be confessing."I am the righteousness of God in Christ. But my friend, we are commanded to live holy. Hebrews 12:14,"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord."

Holiness denotes the quality of God that is right in all actions.
Apostle Paul exhorted the Corinthians to cleanse themselves from all filthiness. The point here is for us to be cleansed. So, that we will perfect holiness, dedicate ourself to Christ and to live righteously, so that our lifestyle will bring glory to God.

Isaiah explains," A highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool shall not go astray"(35:8NKJV). Isaiah tells us that there is a promise of a highway of holiness and nothing unclean can walk on this highway. It is a reversal of judgment.

God's holiness means that man is separated from sin and does not seek his own honor but to bring glory to God. It simply means separation from sin or evil. The idea of holiness is included in a number of Old Testament passages which also shows the separation from evil and devotion to God's own glory. Holy is used to describe both parts of the tabernacle as a place separated from evil and sin of the world. We must be holy in order for God to dwell in us.

Holiness simply means having been set free from sin, having become a slave of righteousness just as man serves sin befoe trusting Jesus Christ. Christians have been freed from sin so that they will have eternal life. Rejecting holiness is the same as rejecting God. The children of God should walk in holiness. We need to walk in peace with all people and without having holiness we will not see the Lord.

Keep in mind that the importance of living a holy life means you do not lend your members to teh devil. We must accept the fact that the devil is real, so please do not be deceived. He is crafty, scheming and it pure evil. He does not have a good bone in him. Satan cannot snatch you out of God's eternal arms if you have accepted Jesus as Your Lord and Savior. And you purpose in your heart to follow after righteousness.

Guess what? Satan wants to devour everybody. He does not want us to live holy. He hates us! He wants to destroy our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is his plan to ruin the Christians. This will make people think Christianity does not work and you can forget about living holy, acceptable unto the Lord. But, my friend Christianity does work and you can live holy. You can have a successful life with Jesus Christ if you do not lose focus. Study the Word of God daily and confess the Word with your mouth daily. Stop speaking like the world. Learn what the Word of God says about how we should live as Christians.

We have been redeemed by God's Son dying on the Cross for our sins. So, we need to stop taking Jesus off of the Cross and appreciate what He did for the entire world when He died on the Cross. I strongly believe that Christians fall from grace due to lack of understanding what Jesus did for them on the Cross.

Yes, we can live holy by being obedient to the Word of God. If your flesh is weak then we need to fast and pray until we get the victory in that part of our life. For years I lived a life of fasting and I stayed focused on the Word of God, so I know from personal experience that you can live holy. Website:http://www.ruthplace.com. Be Blessed. Thanks for taking the time to read this blog.

Sin Abides by Annie Dennis Eskridge

We need to know the aspects of sin. Can I live any way without problems? No, sin is like a decaying toothache. The pain is so unbearable until that tooth needs to be filled or pulled now!

Well, believe it or not, sin is th same way. With the toothache, it can be corrected, so sin can also be corrected. The same way, we go to the dentist to fix the problem. Guess what, God is waiting for you to get out of the dirt.

The eye opener (Sin Abides) give the meaning of sin, cause of sin and redeemed from sin. Sin is a reality even if we choose to ignore it. It is your life so consider reading, "Sin Abides." It will help you! Easy to read and it is not preachy. I just want the world to know what they are doing to their body.

Life can be sweet when we obey the law of the land as well as the law of Our Creator. We can't deny that Our Creator made us all. I admit He does not like sin, but He loves everyone. Whether we accept this thought or not. The main cause of sin is refusing to do what is right. This include our words, actions and deeds. We can no longer live any way and receive a bountiful blessings from Our Lord and Savior.

It goes even deeper than what we say but what is in our hearts. The seed has been planted in our heart. In most cases it has been years in developing. The areas where we are weak are subtle to ungodly behavior. Sin takes root at the core of the heart once it has been embedded in our heart, we can see devastating results.

Remember Jesus loves us but He hates sin. It separates us from the Almighty Father God who created us. He just did not die for one person but for the entire world. Sin Abides can be purchased from Lifeway Stores, Barnes and Nobles, Amazon.com and many other online websites. How Do We Rightly Divide the Word of God 2 Tim 2:15

Many study the Word of God daily but they have never been told how to rightly divide it. Today I am going to share some information on this subject matter. The spiritual prayer comes from Psalm 119:18 then cleansing 1 John 1:9 and the illumination by the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 2:12-16. This is why Christians need to be filled with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues in order to be able to discern spiritual things. The principles of literally understanding Scripture is to interpret the text according to :(1) Mind of the author when the passage was written, (2) Its historical background, what was going on during that time (3) Context of the passage (4) the basic rules for the grammar (5) Who is he talking to the author and (6) How does it apply to be now? (7) Always know what era the passage of Scripture was written in Old Testament or New Testament. Illustration; Successful interpretation comes from meditation on the Scripture. A personal relationship with the Lord will help you to understand and interpret the Word of God. The application would be for us to regularly and systematically interpret God's Word according to its proper meaning. Every thing in the Bible is truly stated but it is not a statement of truth. For example: In Job we often will hear a minister say at a memorial service, "the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh." We know that it is truly stated but not a statement of truth because the Lord gives life and He does not take life. John 10:10 "the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"(NASB).

Apostle Paul appeals for us to make every effort to properly interpret the Word of God. Many times we have to start reading a verse before what we are studying and several passages afterwards to get the true meaning of the entire passage. Saints, I do not know if anyone has shared this information or not, but this is so important to know. This will help us with our studying of God's Holy Word. It is my prayer that this information will help someone. Be Blessed with all spiritual blessings.
