We as Christians are to make living sacrifices to God. One asked the question, how we do that? Well my friend the Word of God say, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”(Romans 12:1-2NKJV).
These two Scriptures tell us that God has good, acceptable and perfect plans for His children. He wants us to be transformed people with renewed minds, living holy and obedient to Him. See God wants only what’s best for us, and because He gave His Son to make a new life possible for us. We should joyfully give ourselves as living sacrifices for his service and not animals. God wants that from us. We must daily lay aside our own desires to follow Him. We must trust Him to lead and guide us.
Christians, we have been called not to be conformed to this world. Also, we should not have the same behavior and customs as the world. Many Christians have wisely decided to follow Jesus all the way. But, we still have a few that haven’t decided to follow Jesus all the way. It’s only when the Holy Spirit renews, reeducates, and redirects our minds will they be truly transformed (see 8:5). It’s possible to follow Jesus if you make up your mind to do so. No one have to tell you what to do when you submit your will and your way to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Enjoy the blessings of the Lord. Email: areskridge@sbcglobal.net.
