God Hates Sin

The immorality of Jericho wa so bad that God' Word to His people was:"And the city (Jericho) shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to theLord. And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword"(Joshua 6:17a,21).

Again we see another act of disobedience.  Believe it or not God does act toward disobedience.  In today’s society, we tend to believe that we can pick and choose what we can and cannot do as God’s children.  We choose to follow God’s will with a little modification of our own. We must keep in mind that God’s plan is the best and we should not detour off His path.  God’s instructions may conflict with our own desires, but we must remember that His way is the only way.  We should reverence the House of the Lord. Now, you see men sitting in church with their hats on, saying and doing anything.  God is sick of the generation that will not reverence Him.

We need to read how God dealt with Israel for their idolatry behavior.  God is a forgiving God. It"s time out for disrespecting God in His house. Many have turned the House of Worship into some night club.  There’s no anointing because the music has been perverted. In Joshua 7, unfortunately, one person disobeyed God’s command to destroy all things and tried to hide his sin.  God had Joshua to deal with Achan and his entire family was destroyed because of what Achan did.

We must know who we represent. They way we dress carry a spirit. We can still dress casual and bring glory to God. It’s so important for all Christians to know when you go before a king to put your best forth.  We need to pray for this generation. Many people have started leaving the churches in the droves.  They go to church on Sunday and they leave church grieved because of what’s going on in the church.

My friend, we all need to set Godly examples for the future generation. Then, pray for them because they have gotten lost on their journey. There is no new Gospel because God is the same God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We should proclaim to our world that in spite of the hardships we face, God is still God Almighty. He never changes although we may but not God. We need to return to our first love and not be caught up with this bondage of sin.

God have warned many and they have refused to hear His voice.  We don’t want to end up like King Eglon in Judges 3. He oppressed God’s people for eighteen years and God send judgment to Him.  Judge Ehud delivered it with a sword in his side.  It’s my prayer that Christians will search their motives and make sure they are of a good report. Just wanted to share what was heavy on my heart.  Enjoy the blessings of the Lord.
