"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him"(John 3:16-17NIV).
The entire Gospel of Jesus Christ comes to a focus in this verse. God's love is not static or self-centered; it reaches out and draw others in. Here, God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships-when someone loves you dearly, they are willing to give freely to the point of self-
sacrifice. God paid dearly with the life of His only Son, the highest price He could pay. Jesus accepted our punishment, paid the price for our sins, and offered us a new life that He bought for us. We should share the Gospel with others in love like Jesus. Many times we will give up our own comfort and security so that other might come to know God's love by receiving the gift of salvation.
