Can we remain pure in today's world

         Can believers stay pure in an impure world?

My friend, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again to redeem mankind, then the answer to that question is, yes.  But, if you have doubts and really is struggling with that question.  We can look at several things that will help you.

1. We can stay pure in an impure world by being living carefully according to God’s Word (Psalm 119:9), and by hiding the Word of God in our hearts (Psalm 119:11).

2. We can stay pure in an impure world by making the conscious choice not to lust (Job 31:1).

3. We can stay pure in an impure world by walking under the control of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16-25).

4.  We can stay pure in an impure world by fleeing sexual temptations and pursuing righteousness (2 Timothy 2:22).

Even though the Thessalonians were living in a sexually charged culture, Apostle Paul urged them to abstain from all sexual immorality. “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality, that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor” (1 Thess 4:3-4NKJV).

The generation of today has a different attitude toward church and how it should be.  But the Word of God has never changed on how we should live. So, my friend there is no new thing when it comes to the Word.  I admit the method which we present the Gospel of Jesus Christ may have changed, but never the Word of God.

Whether it is now or thousands of years from now, the Word of God still tells us to live pure for the Lord. Christians cannot live any kind of way if they expect God to bless them. Sometimes we might have to fast and pray and seek God's face when we are faced with a situation.
