"I Shall Not Die"written by Kendra Norman Bellamy. It is so powerful. The book was God ordained. This book is a true testimony of what true love between a man and a woman should be. As I read this book I could see Stand by God's Man being portrayed. Then it became a reality that Mrs. Bellamy was fulfilling her marriage vows. I strongly believe Mrs. Holmes (at that time)was steadfast in the Word of God. God put a shield of protection around her and her daughters due to her faithfulness to Him.
Author Bellamy had to write this story. Tests and trials will come but it's what we do when we are faced with them. Our faith will be shaken but we must remain steadfast as she did. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
We truly can't say what we will do in a situation like Mrs. Bellamy. It took a strong Christian woman to deal with a husband being diagnosis with Aids. For some they probably would have thrown in the towel. But, thanks be to God this young lady became stronger from her husband's illness. She had to be strong for her daughters. We must keep in mind that test and trials comes to make us strong.
God had a plan for Mrs. Bellamy, so she had to travel that road. From this work we can see God's purpose for her life being fulfilled. As she shares the Word of God in her writing it will minister to many. She has just begun on a journey that will take her into many avenues that God has designed for her. If you are looking for a good book that is straight to the point then you need "I Shall Not Die: Living a Psalm 118:17 Existence". It's easy to read and it is well written from a Christian standpoint. You might shed a few tears but that's alright. Ways to Overcome Jealousy

Praise and adoration
We give all of the praises and adoration for all that God's doing in my life. As all Believers of Jesus Christ prayer is the word for this day. As Christians we should be committed to prayer. If we ever needed to pray now is the time,that it's needed so much. Apostle Paul admonish us to "pray without ceasing"(11 Thessalonians 5:17KJV).
This passage alone tells us we should never get tired of praying. It's good to pray before making all decisions. It's my desire to be obedient to the call of God for my life. A life of prayer is so important, so that we will become more sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Not my will be done, but His will to be done in my life. Then, I ask that He would create in us a clean heart, so that we can be used by Him. Enjoy your blessings for years to come. Celebrate the late Dr. Martin L. King Jr.
Today is a great day for many Americans. It's a national holiday for a civil rights leader, Dr. Martin L. King Jr. He was first of all a preacher, the son of a preacher, and the grandson of a preacher- all served the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. He was trained at Morehouse College in Atlanta(a leading Black College in the nation) and Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania, and he received his PhD in Systematice theology from Boston University.
African Americans or Blacks were denied equal rights in the South. They had known laws that prohibited Blacks from mixing with white people. Those laws were known as "Jim Crow Laws." Blacks were not allowed to share any facilities with the whites.For example,I remember we couldn't eat in the same restaurant, the water fountains were label, white only and black only. The same thing applied to the rest rooms,and we couldn't ride in the same part of the bus.We had to sit in the back of the bus even if there were sits available in the front, we weren't allow to sit there. Yet, the young blacks could serve in the military, yet weren't respected in their home, the deep south.
Dr. King saw a need for a change. He believed his concern for civil rights grew directly from his faith. He used the nonviolent approach that was similar to what happened in the early church where the Greek-speaking had problem with those who spoke Hebrew. The Greek speakers complained that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food. This was brought to the attention of the apostles, they acknowledge it and corrected it. Dr. King believed that if he could show that blacks were being treated unjustly the Supreme Court would respond.
He led many demonstrations as he proved to the nation that black people were being treated injustice. Many people throughout these United States were a part of the demonstrations. Pray for one another 1 Tim 2:1-2
Apostle Paul admonish us to pray for al men."Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and reverence"(1 Timothy 2:1-2NKJV).
In order to pray this prayer effective we need to understand what is being asked here. First of all from this passage we know that prayer is an important part of the church. I don't care what denomination or non-denomination. Prayer is a vital part. We see parts identified as four types of prayer:(1)supplications request for specific needs;(2)prayers is a word embracing different kinds of prayers, confession and adoration; (3) intercessions prayers to God on behalf of others; (4) giving of thanks refers to prayers or praise.
Please pray for the entire Body of Christ daily. Let us bind the works of the flesh and we command every Christian to operate as Jesus Christ has commanded us. We ask the Father God to forgive us for anything that we may have said or done to bring dishonor to your Name. Father, we cover all leaders with the Precious Blood of Jesus and we pray that they will be Godly men and women. Then, we ask that Father God would expose and remove anyone that is in the minister that should not be. Father it's our prayer that your Children will walk blameless before you and continue to bring Glory to Your Name. Two Highways- Repost- Which one are you on?
On yesterday as I was driving the freeway a thought came into mind. As we sometimes see two or free freeways interchanging. Man has drawn a plan by God's design for us to travel to various destination. But this plan has many freeways or highways. When we look at that from a spiritual standpoint, we can see only two highways: We can look in God's Holy Word at one Scripture.Isaiah 35:8'"And an highway shall be there; and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those, the wayfaring men, though fools shall not err therein"(KJV).
Then I decided to read another translation: "A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness, The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it"(NASB). From reading these two Scriptures we can understand that there must be two highways, but as Christians, we need to be on the Highway of Holiness. All unclean things can't get on this one, they have to get on the other highway that leads to destruction.
So, my question is what highway will you ride on? Jesus Christ will protect those who are on the Highway of Holiness, but there is no protection for the highway of destruction. I'm going to ask you again what highway will you get on? My friend for those who are not yet saved, you need to make a quality decision, what highway do I want to ride?
If you want to ride the Highway of Holiness and have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior then repeat this:Father, God you said in your Word, that if I would confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, that I would be saved. For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Now find you a good Bible teaching Church with a good Sunday School. You can attend a church that doesn't have a Sunday School, but if you want to grow in the Bible a church with a Sunday School will be a great help. Be sure to attend Church and Bible Study. Get you a good Study Bible and start reading at John, a chapter of Proverbs a day and some of Psalm. A Thought for Christian Authors
Please remember as we write there are certain things we should keep in mind. If you are a Christian fiction writer,please make sure the book bring glory to God. Just last week I was trying to encourage a pastor to let his members read a certain book. His reply was, "I've read some of those books called Christian fiction and I have not seen any different in those and the others(non-Christians books)."
I was quiet for a moment, but I reread this particular book and I understood where he was coming from. Please let's not just write a book any kind of way and call it Christian fiction. We should make sure it line up with the Word of God. I know many write books really for the world because some of the material that they put in their books. Some things Christians should not do in a church. We can't just say anything in a book and call it a Christian book. Just wanted to share this from the heart. I always ask this question, what would JESUS DO? It's true we want to sale books, but what's the message that we are writing. Another Romance Writer also made the same comment several months ago. From hearing the Pastor voice his concern, it sounded identical to what the bestselling author shared.
You can put what you want in your book, but if it's junk don't call it Christian fiction. Just call it fiction or non-fiction. We need to take Jesus more serious than what we are doing. I'm going to screen the books that I read this year more careful and stop just buying any thing. Enjoy your blessings. Can a cat go to heaven?
Just recently a young lady shared something that was very shocking. Someone had made a statement that their cat died. The lady grieved over a year about her cat dying. Well, the story goes on and on, but the sadest thing was when the lady said, Jesus told her that her cat was in heaven. After hearing this she got over being grieved.
Well, this is no joke. A lady actually made this statement. But, the Word of God says,"That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart, and shall believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"(Romans 10:9 KJV). How can a cat be saved?
Let's look at another Scripture"who knows the spirit of the son of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?"(Eccl 3:21NKJV). People and animals differ; their bodies go back to the dust from which they came, but the human spirit is immortal.
I'm not being funny, but I can't find no Holy Scripture to support this claim. Many of you have heard the same thing, so just pray for this lady. She's a Christian, but what she said doesn't line up with the Word of God. In cases like these we need to pray for her understanding of the Word of God. Millions listen to her probably daily. This is why we need to be rooted and grounded in the Word of God, then have a church home. Monitor what you watch and hear, if it doesn't line up with sound teaching, then turn it off. It only makes you confused.
